Massage Therapy

 

Massage Therapy is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of normalizing the function of these tissues. The therapy consists of manual techniques such as rubbing or kneading parts of the body to increase circulation and promote relaxation.

Massage as been shown to relieve low back, mid back and neck pain, especially in conjunction with chiropractic care.  The therapy gives relief to the discomfort that may affect pregnant women, reduce symptoms of carpal tunnel and plantar fasciitis, as well as help reduce the symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Massage therapy can also improve flexibility and range of motion, can relax overused muscles from sports or work related activities.  It can also help reduce pain from disc bulges, herniations and even spinal fusion.

Erin Russo, LMT

 

Erin Russo, LMT has been a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of New York since 1997.  She is a graduate of The New York Institute of Massage. She has over 20 years of experience ,and has specialized in medical massage since 2005. She has experience working with Doctors of Pain Management, Physical Therapists and here with our Doctors at Brighton Chiropractic where she has worked in direct relation with Dr. Jamie Brenon for almost 20 years. Through her experiences during this time, she has seen patients for a various amount of reasons working with conditions like  migraines, neck, mid back, and low back pain, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis  and many more.

Melissa Sneziak, LMT

 

Melissa Sneziak, LMT is a graduate of the New York Institute of Massage, and has been practicing since 2007. She specializes in deep tissue and medical massage. She has had a a lot of experience and is proficient at headache and trigger point reduction. Melissa is a holistic massage practitioner that prefers to treat the cause, not the symptom of the problem. This means that she strives to identify, and eliminate, the cause of the patient's pain insuring long term benefits. Through her experiences from practicing, Melissa has become proficient in treating a variety of conditions.
